Dependent variable: length
Conceptualization
Ø Height is the distance between the lowest and highest point of a person standing upright
Ø Length is measurement of one tip of finger to the other can be measured by using measuring tape in cm
Operationalization
Ø Height and length of one tip of finger to the other can be measured by using measuring tape in cm
By using the same measuring tapes (one tape on the wall and the other one use to measure the person’s length), same people helping to read the measurement and the same position of the way people stand to be measured can help ensure accuracy and consistency in our results
Our target Audience
Ø 40 males or female
Ø Of any age and race
Ø participants were selected through accidental sampling in NYP’s library
How samples were collected?
1)We booked a room in one of the NYP library discussion room and being to set up out equipment (measuring tape)
2)People who walked past out room we would kindly asked them for help to assist us in our data collection and explain to them the purpose of it and get their inform consent which include ensuring of confidentiality
3)After they agreed to help, we would ask them to take off their shoes and stand straight with back facing the wall and take their height
4)Next, we would ask them to put their hands straight perpendicularly to ensure accurate measurement of their length of one tip of finger to another
5)Lastly, we will appreciate their help by saying a big THANK YOU!
